Getting Started
Install the app
Download the desktop version of Simple Pedigree for MacOS and Windows from the downloads page. Links to the Simple Pedigree app for iPhone and Android from the App Store or Google Play are also available on the downloads page.
Create your first pedigree
- Open the app.
- Tap "Settings". Enter your breeder information. This will be displayed on your pedigrees.
- Tap on "Breeds". Tap on the + button to add a new breed. Save the breed - options to define custom fields will be available.
- Tap on the + button to add an new custom field. Custom fields can be included on the pedigree if desired.
- Tap on "Animals". Tap on the + button to add a new animal. Name, sex, and date of birth are required.
- Select a breed for the animal if desired, and the custom fields defined for that breed will be available to fill in.
- Select the sire and dam if known. These animals will be added to the pedigree along with their own parents.
- Save the animal.
- Click on the PDF icon in the top right corner to generate a new pedigree, or open an existing one.
